When Andrew came to a singing night that Claire organized, they were bound to fall in love and start a band together.

The couple-duo, Andrew Snyder and Claire Haas, plays music from around the Americas with the rich beautiful sound of trombone and guitar. From tango and choro to jazz and folk, the duo plays both traditional music and original pieces. ​

The project features many of the sounds the two studied traveling in South America together. In Rio de Janeiro, they studied choro, samba, and traditional carnival music for months. They took lessons in Andean music in La Paz... emerged themselves in tango in Buenos Aires... learned about the roots of cumbia on the Caribbean coast of Colombia... and met and collaborated with musicians across the continent. 

On top of that, the couple brings their interest in North American traditional folk music and jazz to the project, giving old tunes new and original sounds. From trad jazz, to shape note, the duo brings their love of diverse musical traditions to life.
