I am an anti-ableist, anti-capitalist, and anti-racist coach. I support you to be in alignment to take the boldest actions you can to create collective liberation.
I believe we must abolish capitalism and create a new system - and designing that system requires us, as a collective, to be creative, imaginative, compassionate, and good at problem solving. This is a big task, and requires all of us to learn to do things in new ways. We have to break out of molds we have followed, enter into disruption, and create new models of interdependence. As your coach, I'll support you to clarify your vision of what this looks like.
We'll create a judgement free zone together where you can explore, take risks, and try on new ideas. As you are learning, is something just not quite making sense or are you sitting with an edgy question? I'll hold a space where you can say it out loud, think about it from different perspectives, and figure out what is aligned in your values. You don't have to have the answers.
We need you in the movement. There is a place for all of us in the movement for liberation. There is a role for you to play, and we need you to play it. This takes courage and I've got your back. I'll support you to be able to enter into an embodied presence that allows you confidently play your role in the movement, take risks as you are called, and be in the kind of authentic relationship needed for liberation.
Liberation is collective work. We all need community to take action with. I'll help you clarify who your people are and invite them to join you in collective action. And, if you are part of an affinity group or collective, I can support you collectively through group coaching and/or facilitation to move into bolder action with strong relationships and community.
Material change is essential and I center it in my coaching. How are we redistributing resources to meet the needs of everyone? I ask about material conditions in coaching. I'll support you in making a budget, or a jail support plan, or whatever else. We get practical and bold to take real action.
We have been socialized to reproduce the patterns that uphold capitalism, but we can learn to be accountable to community. I'll support you to understand how systems of oppression play out in your socialization and in how you show up, and I'll help you transform those patterns. I look at both the identities where we have experienced oppression and where we have experienced privilege, and how they intersect and work off of each other using a methodology called Parts Work. I find this work individually supports us to create accountable and creative community. We will make mistakes and cause each other harm, but we also can repair and transform.
My work is guided by Disability Justice, Transformative Justice, and Abolition of all carceral spaces (including institutions) and capitalism. Embedded in this framework, I understand how colonialism and capitalism built the system that now is causing climate change, allowing for mass death and disablement through the pandemic and other causes, and how we are socialized to replicate this devaluing of life. But, I also see how when we center collective access and interdependence, when we believe that we can keep each other safe and support each other's needs, and when we redistribute resources and reshape our built environments for people and nature, there is hope and possibility.
When we create collective liberation, we all thrive. As your coach, I will support you to be at your most grounded, centered state, where you can enter into creating collective liberation and living in a way where you thrive. Your needs are important, too, after all. <3
Ready to get started? Book an intro session below - we'll get to know each other and talk about what it might look like to coach together so we can know if we make a good fit. If I'm not the right fit for you, I'm glad to recommend other coaches I know, love, and trust that might be a better fit.
